NFS Run for a Cause with The City Eats

Join us for the Run for a Cause 5K, a community event uniting San Francisco’s running scene and local changemakers. Hosted by NFS and The City Eats, this event combines movement, purpose, and connection bringing together runners, volunteers, and neighbors to help feed those in need in San Francisco.

We’ll start the morning with a group run through the city, followed by an on-site food distribution at City Team SF (164 6th St.) where participants can volunteer to pack and distribute meals with The City Eats team. Lace up, show up, and make your miles meaningful.

• 8:00 AM – Run Club Meet-Up
• 8:20 AM – Group Warm-Up
• 8:30 AM – Run Begins (5K)
• 9:45 AM – Return + Cool Down
• 9:50 AM – Announcements
• 10:00–11:00 AM – Volunteer Prep & Set-Up
• 11:00 AM – Food Distribution Begins

• Group warm-up and stretch led by local run leaders
• Scenic 5K through downtown SF
• Volunteer activation with The City Eats
• Complimentary refreshments + community hangout
• Optional merch and donation opportunities

Every stride supports a bigger purpose. Proceeds and volunteer efforts from this event go directly toward The City Eats’ weekly meal programs, serving unhoused and underserved communities across San Francisco. Together, we can move the city forward one mile, one meal at a time.
