The holidays just past us and still with the thoughts of family and community fresh on our hearts. It is important to have inclusivity of families in our community, The National Federation of the Blind of Texas Fort Worth Chapter and the Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth is hosting a carnival for children and youth with visual impairments and their families. We want to start the 2023 year off strong. Everyone is invited to NFB -Newsline Presents an Accessible Carnival, The Road to the Community. We are inviting kids of all ages, their families, and their services providers to attend. In addition, we are inviting community member to partner with us to provide accessible games and share resources that will aide in the success of our young people and their families. This event will allow families to network with other families with similar challenges and receive resources that will help their children during the school year and beyond.
The adapted carnival will be held Saturday January 28, 2023, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Lighthouse for the Blind 912 W. Broadway Ave Fort Worth, TX 76104.
All are invited. If you are planning to be a vendor, you are invited to use your creativity to bring a game and information about your organization. In addition, to an opportunity for our community to get to know one another. Please share this information with other organizations, individuals who are visually impaired, and their families.
