SUMMARY
Winner of three Tony Awards and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Next to Normal is a pop/rock musical that follows the Goodman family, a seemingly typical household that turns out to be anything but normal. As they navigate life together, the family struggles with a mother battling bipolar disorder and the impact of its various treatments.
This deeply moving piece explores themes of grief, loss, the ethics of modern medicine, and the pressures of suburban life.
