Are you already acquainted with the art of tatting and ready to take your skills to the next level? Join us for an immersive workshop where you'll create stunning garlands featuring delicate forget-me-not flowers using just a shuttle and thread.
In this class, you'll explore intricate floral motifs that bring a touch of nature's beauty to your lacework. With the versatility of the forget-me-not flower, you'll have the opportunity to play with color and creativity. Bring your favorite threads in at least two different colors, and let your imagination flourish as you craft garlands that are as unique as you are.
MATERIALS:
Small scissors, tatting shuttle and #10/#20 cordonnet thread in two colors of your choosing. A large-eye needle is useful for finishing.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Kevin is a freelance professional singer with Bay Area groups like Clerestory and Endersnight. He learned tatting in order to keep the tradition alive and as a viable activity that could be done while traveling
All supplies are available at the Museum shop.
The class fee is $45.00.
Please contact us if you are interested in signing up for the class or have any questions, Monday through Friday, 12 - 6pm, 510-843-7290.
