It’s the middle of January. Immerse yourself in a Caribbean landscape with sights and sounds, colors and conversations as we explore the multilingual and multicultural histories of the island nations. Labor, history, religion and carnival converge in the Gonda Theater in January 2026.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: This event takes place across multiple days, with each day offering a selection of workshops and performances. Please check the calendar for details for each session. There are three sessions per day:
- Session 1 from 12:00pm-1:00pm: Workshops and Encounters
- Session 2 from 4:00pm-6:00pm: Moderated panel discussions with guest artists and scholars.
- Session 3 from 6:00pm-7:00pm: Social Hour Reception in the Davis Center Lobby with guest artists and scholars. Caribbean snacks included!
- Session 4 from 7:00pm-9:00pm: Student and guest artist performances by and about Caribbean artists.
