Newsham Park Hospital is widely considered one of the most terrifying, active, and sought-after locations for ghost hunting in the UK. Spanning a massive 99,000 square feet, this Grade II listed Victorian building has a heavy, dark atmosphere built up over a century of sorrow, abandonment, and medical history.
* The Orphanage (1869–1950s): Originally opened as the Liverpool Seamen's Orphan Institution, it housed thousands of children whose fathers had perished at sea.
* The Hospital (1950s–1988): It later transitioned into a hospital, eventually housing psychiatric patients and the terminally ill before finally closing its doors for good in 1988 (with full closures by 1992).
