This listening session at Tandem Coffee & Wine in East Sacramento will focus on the Sacramento region's transportation topics most closely affecting you and your loved ones.
A years-long highway construction project. Pedestrian and commuter safety. Pubic transportation. Traffic and Flock cameras.
What can you expect? Abridged by PBS KVIE is excited to gather for an evening of intimate, group discussions and refreshments. We intend to listen. A story won’t be written about the event and names won’t be published.
Join us, build community with your neighbors, and help shape the future of transportation coverage in the Sacramento region. And go home with a free Abridged tote bag to remember our evening together!
Abridged staff will facilitate group discussions, asking the following questions:
- What daily transportation decisions are you and your loved ones facing?
- What's something about the Sacramento region's transportation scene that worries you?
- What do you want to know more about in transportation?
- Where do you get your transportation news? What's missing?
Come hungry and ready to mingle! Doors open at 6 p.m., and Abridged staff is excited to meet you and hear your stories before the event starts at 6:30 p.m. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at Tandem. The newsroom partners with local businesses for this series because we believe they are vital to the health of our community. While sharing this space at Tandem, we encourage you to support their business and the stellar team that hosts us.
Menu items range from small plates to baked goods. The drink list includes a variety of hot and cold coffees, teas, wine and nonalcoholic beverages. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.
