NewGround Latte Art Competition

Calling all baristas with a passion for latte art! NewGround & Victoria Arduino invite you to showcase your skills and creativity at our first latte art competition of 2025! This event is a must-attend for any coffee enthusiasts or professionals who want to show off their latte art skills and stand a chance to win amazing prizes. The event will be held at NewGround Coffee on Ship Street, in Oxford.

Event Format: Each competitor will pour each of the four classic latte art designs: Heart, Tulip, Rosetta, and Swan. All pours will be made with dairy milk to ensure a consistent experience for all participants. Your pours will be scored on the following five criteria: Symmetry, Contrast, Milk Texture, Cleanliness, and Creativity. We want to see your best pours, and we encourage you to get creative—let your artistic flair shine!

Tie-Breaker: In the event of a tie, we’ll kick off an exciting sudden death tie-breaker round, where the top two competitors will showcase their free pour skills with a impressive on-the-spot pattern. Who will reign as the ultimate latte artist?

Prizes and Surprises: The top scoring competitor will win a £100 cash prize and some high-quality coffee equipment & goodies—plus, bragging rights as the best latte artist in the house!

Event Vibes: It’s not all about competition! Enjoy the lively atmosphere with the DJ playing some bangin' tunes, snacks made by beloved local bakeries, natural wine bar downstairs, refreshing soft drinks, and lovely peeps from the Oxford coffee community.
