Hey SF newcomers and fresh skaters,

Gliding down the Embarcadero on a Friday night with the illuminated Bay Bridge overhead is one of the most magical sights in San Francisco, and it is ten times better when you are sharing the pavement with welcoming people. If you just arrived in the Bay Area or you have been looking for an easy, friendly crowd to skate with, join me right in front of the Ferry Building for an evening tailored to helping you find your footing.

We kick off right by the water with quick, easy one-on-one rounds powered by the Gist IRL app. It is a wonderfully relaxed way to meet people without any awkward pressure. You will get to chat with a bunch of friendly folks, share how you are settling into the city, and discover who matches your cruising speed. Once the rounds wrap, you choose the people you clicked with most, and we break off into small groups to join the Friday night waterfront roll and hunt down incredible pizza.

By nine o'clock, you will be rolling in a supportive circle of 4 to 6 people, cruising along to the outdoor music and grabbing warm slices under the city skyline. It is an effortless way to turn this iconic San Francisco night roll into your own new Friday ritual.

The Plan:

- 7:30PM: Check-In. Follow the link to set up your quick profile on your phone. - 7:35PM - 8:55PM: One-on-One Rounds. The app pairs you for focused chats. Swap newcomer stories, connect on your favorite routes, and meet potential rolling buddies. - 8:55PM+: Form Groups & head down the Embarcadero together to catch the skate beats and grab late-night pizza slices. Link up with your top matches in groups of 4-6 and head out along the Embarcadero to soak up the music and grab dinner.

You will head home with genuine friends in your corner, and the app lets you easily plan your next meetups without having to awkwardly ask around for phone numbers.
