About this Event
Welcome to Newcomer Stingers Netball!
Come join us at The Skinners' Kent Academy for a fun-filled couple of hours of netball action.
Netball for our Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells area is a sport which our schools play at a high ability. But what about those pupils who have experienced this in PE, but do not have the confidence to attend the weekly club with the school netball team or play matches. They may love netball and attend but are not quite there yet to make it to the team with others? Are you a small school who just doesn't get enough players to even form a team regularly? Where can they go? Look no further, they can come to our "Newcomer Stingers Netball"
THIS EVENT IS ONLY FOR PUPILS WHO DO NOT TAKE PART IN THE SCHOOL LEAGUES, REGULARLY PLAY FIXTURES OR MATCHES AGAINST OTHER SCHOOLS OR PLAY IN A CLUB OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL.
If you do wish to enter a team but your school plays regularly within a league or has fixtures with other schools, please can we ensure we are choosing different players for this event.
Event Format
Arrival Time: 3:45pm (start time of 4pm)
Where: Skinners Kent Academy, Sandown Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells TN2 4PY
Who: Y4/5/6 (teams of 7-8 players, 5 on court only two boys playing at any one time)
What: Schools will take part in a round robin of matches in a pool of schools. Schools will have chance to coach their team as they play to encourage improvement. Netball Players from Weald will be umpiring the matches and offer coaching and advice to the teams as well.
