🍄🧺🌿Want to sell at the event?🌿🧺🍄
Go to newcastleren.com and fill in our vendor application form. We're looking for anyone who makes things related to fantasy and/or history, as well as tasty food options who have their own marquee / outdoor setup (no van space).
Our event is queer run and inclusive. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
Accessibility & Equality:
The Black Swan includes a theatre / venue, a small bar area, and a courtyard. There is a lift. The majority of the event takes place within the theatre / venue, and the stage is clearly visible in accessible areas.
The bar area is unfortunately not very accessible for non-ambulatory wheelchair users. We offer a free companion ticket so a friend, family member, or assistant can join you to help with purchasing drinks. If you’re coming alone, feel free to ask a member of the team to grab you a drink or refreshment.
Unfortunately some of the toilets at the venue are gender labelled. Gendered non-accessible toilets and a gender neutral accessible toilet will be available, with the accessible toilet being open to anyone who wishes to use it. The accessible toilet is near the lift and does not require any stairs etc to get to.
The event organisers are neurodiverse and neurotype differences have been considered in the design of the event, but we advise that the venue may be loud and busy, so we would recommend bringing hearing protection, tinted glasses, etc if these are sensory stimuli you find challenging.
There will be staff on site with training
in mental health and disability. If you
need any help on the day, please
approach a member of the team.
Our event is intersectionally feminist, anti-racist, and LGBTQIA+ run and allied. Misogyny, queerphobia, racism, etc will not be tolerated and those who overtly do not comply with these values will be asked to leave.
If you have any specific requirements for the day, or have any questions or suggestions, please email newcastleren @ proton.me and we will do our best to accommodate you.
