Celebrate the arrival 2025 in style with two show-stopping firework displays lighting up the Newcastle and Gateshead Quayside this New Year’s Eve. Returning for the first time since 2019 these free public displays are the grand finale of Newcastle’s Christmas 2024 celebrations.

Date: Tuesday 31 December 2024

Times:

• 6:00 PM – A family-friendly display for an early New Year celebration.
• Midnight – A spectacular display to welcome in the New Year in style.
• Location: The best views are from the designated viewing areas along the Newcastle Quayside (under the Tyne Bridge to the Cycle Hub) and Baltic Square on Gateshead Quayside. Fireworks will also be visible from various other spots across Newcastle and Gateshead.

What to Expect:

• Two breathtaking 15-minute displays
• Live entertainment an hour before each display (from 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM)
• On the Gateshead side of the Quayside head to Baltic Square to enjoy a festive selection of food and drink vendors including prosecco beer coffee and pizza stalls.
