PRESENTED BY GIRAMONDO PUBLISHING & NEWCASTLE WRITERS FESTIVALPlease join us to celebrate the Newcastle launch of How to Be Between, (Giramondo, May 2022), the debut memoir by Bastian Fox Phelan about female facial hair, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and negotiating identity for those visibly between gender binaries.
The book will be launched by the poet Keri Glastonbury at The Lock-Up, a historic police station reimagined as a contemporary art space.
Copies of How to Be Between can be purchased on the night through event booksellers MacLean's, alongside Glastonbury's Newcastle Sonnets (Giramondo, 2018).
