About this Event

The Taiwanese Business Association is honored to proudly present Dr. Andy Lin — Taiwanese-born world-class violist and erhu virtuoso — for an unforgettable evening of musical excellence, where Eastern tradition meets Western classical mastery. Internationally acclaimed for his extraordinary artistry.

“Taiwanese-born violist Andy Lin… is also a virtuoso on the erhu, and he gave a brilliant performance.” - The New York Times.

He has worked with some of world’s best musicians like Lang Lang, at world renowned concert halls like Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Museum (the MET), Lincoln Centre, Radio City Music Hall, and more. His accolades run for pages and for one night only, Aucklanders will have the opportunity to enjoy an intimate evening of classical and Chinese traditional music with this amazing world-class musician.

The only musician to play both eastern and western instruments with Juilliard’s Orchestra.

Accopmaning Andy is Mina Hsieh. Mina graduated from the Composition program at University of Auckland. Classically trained in piano from an early age, she is also an active cellist, composer, and music educator.

Mina performs as a cellist with Formosa Orchestra, and has previously performed with Sunrise Ensemble and currently with Modern Dynasty. Over the years, she has participated in major cultural events across Auckland, including WTV New Year and Mid-Autumn Gala performances, Taiwan Day, and the Auckland Spring Festival Gala.

Alongside performance and composition, Mina is also an experienced music educator dedicated to promoting music education and multicultural artistic collaboration.
