New Zealand Songwriters in the Round - a monthly singer-songwriters' open mic night hosted by the lovely Phil Doublet here at A Rolling Stone.Songwriters can perform their songs acoustically and share their inspirations in an appreciative and supportive space with a great sound and stage. Come and perform your own music, or just watch, all welcome.
The board goes up by the stage early evening, so come early and put your name down, as spots are limited.
Share your precious songs and your craft. If you're a newbie, don't be afraid, come and give it a go. It's not about perfection, it's about your musical journey. Road test your songs - maybe they're fully fledged or maybe they're not quite there yet - just try them out!
2023 was fantastic! We are sure 2024 is going to be even better! Here in Christchurch we are so lucky to have so many musicians creating so much glorious original music.
Plenty of food and drinks available, hot drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Under-18s welcome unaccompanied until 9pm, after 9pm must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
