New Year’s Waste Resolutions

About the Event:

This in-person end-of-year gathering offers a platform for businesses from various industries to share insights and discover strategies to reduce waste across their operations.

Join us in-person to explore waste reduction opportunities, network with industry leaders, attend a workshop hosted by the Reuse Centre, and enter a raffle! We will have presentations from key speakers from different industries sharing their sustainability practices, as well as the challenges and opportunities they face in their operations.

Presenters:

The speakers will be members of the Waste Reduction Network and will highlight their waste reduction efforts, barriers and future plans.

The event will also feature the introduction of the new E-Waste Guide, designed to help businesses manage their electronic waste responsibly.

Our Waste Reduction Network members are encouraged to bring promotional materials, as a designated table will be available to showcase business offerings and initiatives. Please bring a business card with you as we are going to have a raffle draw.

Event Format: In-person. Virtual options will not be available

How to get there:

Transit options include the Churchill LRT station (exit via City Hall LRT Access) and the nearest bus stops are at 99 Street & 103A Ave and 100 Street & 103A Avenue. After reviewing all parking options, we recommend the underground parking at the Library Parkade or Canada Place for $5/hour. Please note that the Library Parkade elevators are out of service; use the library elevator on levels P2 and P3.

The Waste Reduction Network helps businesses and organizations in the industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) sector connect with peers and the City to learn best practices, share expertise, address challenges, and collaborate on waste reduction initiatives.
