Dear Gentle Reader,
As many of you may know, our Lead Singer and Brother, Robert Grijalva, suffered a stroke on November 9, 2024. It was not clear of his condition at the time and our main concern was that he would pull through during the critical week. As of today, Robert is still fragile and is unable to speak and has slight mobility on his right side only and doctors say it is going to be a long road to recovery. Because of this heartbreaking news, The Festival Band has made a difficult decision to cancel our New Year’s Eve Dance. In addition of it being too late to find someone to sit in as lead singer and learn 3 hours of music, this has been a hardship for the Band Members and family making it difficult to focus on this event. We want to thank everyone who showed interest and made plans to attend. Robert was so excited about this year’s Bridgerton Theme and had already prepared some props; however, we pray that we can pick this up next New Year’s Eve. Refunds will be issued to those who have purchased tickets, and if you reserved your room at the Marriott, we suggest you call to cancel at (520) 792-4100. We hope you all understand our situation as well and please pray for Robert’s recovery.
