Happy running people,It has been a yearly tradition of the Murfreesboro running community to gather at an unseemly hour of the morning on New Year's Day to run an informal but no less glorious 50K. Your hosts for this year’s even are an uppity bunch of Mad Cows who think sharing love with friends and family means sharing a few miles pounding pavement on a frosty morning.
Details: We meet at 8 am and run from the Pavilion at the General Bragg Trail head. The course is a figure 8 style with a 4-mile loop around the Battlefield and a 6-mile out and back to Cannonsburgh. Complete 3 of these 10ish mile loops and you have yourself a MOOve Your Mass 50K. All abilities are welcome. You DON’T have to run the full distance but we would love to see you test yourself to start the new year. There is NO COST to participate. We simply ask that you bring a dish to share and your enthusiasm for running. There will be special "goodies" for those who complete the full 50K distance.
Show up. Show out. Please share this event with any of your running friends who will be in the Boro on New Year's Day.
We'll be out of town on New Year's Day but Randall and Kevin have agreed to host.
