New Year, New Poetry - A Community Fundraising Showcase

What better way to kick off 2025 than by coming out for some amazing poetry!

Join us on Saturday, January 4th, for a curated poetry showcase. This event is being put on by local poetry mics, The People's Poets and Slamlandia, with all proceeds going towards the 2025 Bigfoot Poetry Festival and the People's Poets' Black History Month showcase.

Hosted by Brianna Renae and Julia Gaskill, this poetry reading starts at 7:00 PM at the Barrel Room (). The entrance to the Barrel Room is through the gate on Couch St.

We'll hear poetry from: Afreakano, Jolie Brownell, Brennan DeFrisco, Marcus Lattimore, Joshua Merritt, myrah, Jennifer Nicole, and Victoria.

The Barrel Room will have food and drinks for purchase - plus signature cocktails and mocktails made especially for this event! This show is 21+.

Tickets are $15 in advance. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $20 at the door. Limited seating available.

The entrance to the venue and the bathrooms are ADA accessible - all on the ground floor with no stairs. Any seating can be adjusted to make room for any accessibility equipment.
