CONNECTED THROUGH SOUND | Celebrating the piano | Take a journey, explore art spaces in Launceston and hear improvised performances and new works for piano by local composers at each.
Fresh off co-creating the mesmerizing kinetic art installation "Breath" with Darryl Rogers, a crowd favourite from this year's Junction Arts Festival, Ian Chia will be focusing on the truly intimate in a 30min solo piano performance, created in the moment by drawing inspiration from the Madeline Gordon Gallery's exhibited artworks. Akin to his neo-classical ambient project Stray Luxury, Ian will pursue wonder and melancholia in places of respite.
