Have you ever dreamed of fighting like a Viking?
Now is your chance to join ASK Vikingekampgruppe—Denmark’s oldest Viking combat group. We invite everyone interested in historical combat to try Viking fighting and begin their journey as a warrior.
INTRO MEETING AND FIRST TRAINING
Our introduction meeting will be held on Sunday, August 30th at 10.00 at our training grounds near Godsbanen in Aarhus.
At the meeting, you can meet the group, learn more about what we do, see our equipment and find out what it takes to become part of ASK.

Our first training session will take place on Tuesday, September 1st from 18.00–20.30.
WHAT WE DO
ASK is a Viking combat group that functions much like a sports club. We train twice a week:
• Tuesdays from 18.00–20.30
• Sundays from 10.00–13.00
Our training focuses on developing combat skills, fitness, teamwork and safety—while having a great time together.
History is also an important part of the group. Throughout the year, we travel to Viking markets and combat events in Denmark and abroad. Here, we wear historically accurate clothing, live in tents, cook over an open fire and take part in battles, competitions and demonstrations.
It is a unique way to experience history—and a strong community to become part of.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
AGE - You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
ATTENDANCE - We expect members to attend at least one training session per week on average.
EQUIPMENT - You do not need to own Viking clothing, weapons or armour before joining. We will help you get started and guide you through what you need.
NEW MEMBERS - We only accept new warriors once a year. This allows us to give everyone a thorough, safe and structured introduction to Viking combat.
There is no need to sign up in advance. Just press "Going" and show up for the introduction meeting on Sunday, August 30th.
