About the eventQuarterly, Marine Resources Council will host new volunteer orientation trainings. These trainings will familiarize participants with the history of the Marine Resources Council, the Indian River Lagoon, and will participate in a demonstration of common volunteer tasks. Volunteers who are interested in assisting Marine Resources Council staff at tabling events are required to attend a volunteer training event prior to registering for a shift.
What will volunteers do?
During the new volunteer orientation, volunteers will learn about the history and current projects of the Marine Resources Council, the Indian River Lagoon estuarine system, and participate in a demonstration of volunteering tasks.
What will volunteers need to bring or wear?
Volunteers will need to wear comfortable clothing and bring a reusable water bottle.
