New Voices

Oriana is excited to welcome you to New Voices, the final concert in our 2022-2023 season. We are featuring the Toronto premiere of Laura Hawley's new work The Secret Wisdom of Flowers, jointly commissioned by six upper-voice choirs across Canada and being premiered this spring all across the country from Vancouver to St John's! Also, for the first time since back in our 2019-2020 season when we began working with young composers in the Claude Watson Arts Program at Earl Haig Secondary School, we have the opportunity to showcase some of the works written this season by these promising young artists. We round out the evening with engaging upper-voice choral works including two pieces by our honorary patron Ruth Watson Henderson.
