New to Sergers

By the end of this two-hour class, students will be able to:

• Identify parts of the serger and know all its functions
• Be able to change and replace serger needles
• Be able to thread their serger
• Make 3-thread and 4-thread overlock stitches
• Recognize a balanced serger stitch
• Troubleshoot unbalanced serger sticthes
• Find their user manual online
• Finish a serger stitch
• Remove a serger stitch
• Sew corners and curves

Please bring your serger, manual, pedal, and power cord and four spools of serger thread.

Your serger must be in good working order; if it needs a service, please be sure to book it in our service dept before this class. We will not have time to repair during this course. We will address tension issues during the workshop.
