Our upcoming term is commencing on Monday 8th September - Saturday 25th October and it is a 7 week term. Therefore you will need to purchase a 7/14/21/28 class pass depending on how many classes your child does a week.
Please make sure you are purchasing the correct package. Numerous people are buying too less, and even some of you too many! SDA is not a pay as you go service, FULL TERMS MUST BE PAID FOR.
I'm still having children turn up for classes and kids club without booking in which means no payment has been made and it is unacceptable. Please can we make sure between parents that you are communicating so this will stop.
Not only does not booking in mean no payment has been made it is extremely important that I am provided with a class register.
Maintaining an accurate register and ensuring that all participants are booked into classes is vital for several reasons:
1. Insurance PurposesMost insurance policies require accurate attendance records in case of an incident.A register demonstrates who was present at a specific time, which is essential if a claim is made following an accident, injury, or other unforeseen event.Without a register, insurance providers may dispute or even deny coverage.
2. Child Protection and SafeguardingA register ensures that all children and young people are accounted for from the moment they arrive until they leave. It provides a clear record of who is responsible for each child during the session. In the event of an emergency (e.g., fire evacuation, medical incident), it allows staff to quickly and accurately confirm attendance and ensure every child is safe.It also helps prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing sessions or collecting children without permission.
3. Professional and Organisational AccountabilityRegisters provide evidence of attendance and engagement, which may be required by governing bodies, schools, or funding organisations. They help track participation, manage class sizes, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. For parents and guardians, registers build trust by showing that the organisation has robust safeguarding and operational procedures in place.
👉 In short: keeping a register and ensuring all classes are pre-booked is not just good practice — it is a legal and safeguarding necessity. It protects the organisation, the staff, and most importantly, the children and participants.
You will provide a register by selecting the classes your child will be attending once you've purchased your passes. You can do this the morning of each day they attend or if you'd prefer you can do this all in one go once you've purchased your package of classes. Or even better, get your dancer to do it themselves!
If your account is not in your child's name can I please ask that this is edited to say their name and not yours. Also please make sure that all your account details have been filled in for emergency contact reasons.
If you need any help with setting up your account, purchasing your package or anything else please don't hesitate in contacting me.
Me and bump (wait till you see me!) can't wait to be back dancing with you all!
Thank you
Miss Becky
