TRANSFORMACIÓN explores the journeys of three women inspired by Latin American telenovelas: Rubí, María la Caprichosa, and Jeimy from La Reina del Flow. Although each woman comes from different circumstances, they all share one desire to transform their lives and become stronger versions of themselves.
Through melodrama, bilingual performance, and emotional storytelling, TRANSFORMACIÓN explores female empowerment, resilience, identity, and survival. Inspired by the emotional intensity of telenovelas, the project highlights how women continue to rebuild themselves despite pain, judgement, and difficult life circumstances.

Hyun Chung Jin Driverless Taxi (Performance)

In a future city where AI controls every system, human relationships have become distant, fragile, and almost impossible to sustain. Surrounded by machines yet consumed by loneliness, one man struggles to survive in a society where even emotion feels mechanised. On a rain-soaked evening, he enters an AI taxi and witnesses a catastrophic system failure. Acting on instinct, he attempts to stop the vehicle himself — but the collision cannot be prevented. Moments later, still trapped inside the taxi, he is transported directly into an AI-controlled courtroom where the trial unfolds with chilling efficiency. As the proceedings continue, the boundaries between justice, performance, and corporate control begin to collapse. Witnesses recite prepared narratives. Authority exists only as a disembodied voice. The courtroom itself feels less like a place of truth and more like a machine processing a predetermined outcome. Beneath the cold logic of the system lies a terrifying question: Can humanity survive in a world where empathy has become irrelevant? Driverless Taxi is a dystopian theatre work exploring isolation, surveillance, mechanisation, and the violence of invisible systems. Through immersive sound, fragmented light, darkness, and minimal staging, the production transforms the theatre into a sensory experience where audiences are not simply watching the story, but trapped inside it.

Written and Directed by Hyun Chung Jin.
