About this Event
Businesses now have the option to immediately deduct or amortize R&D costs.
Recent updates to U.S. tax law have changed how businesses treat research and development (R&D) costs, giving companies new flexibility in how these expenses are handled for tax purposes.
This lunch & learn will provide an overview of the updated rules and discuss considerations related to accounting methods and elections for domestic and foreign research and experimentation (R&E) expenditures. It will also cover two other opportunities: Employee Tax Credits and Excelsior Job Tax Credits.
Attendees will learn how to:
- Assess eligibility related to the treatment of R&D costs
- Review available accounting methods and elections
- Coordinate R&D credit filings
- Monitor important deadlines tied to changes in R&D tax treatment
- Leverage employee and job tax credits
This is an in-person workshop and lunch will be provided. Space is limited and registration closes at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 26.
