New Product Development – The Stage Gate Process

Our series of New Product Development workshops are introductory level sessions which are targeted towards early-stage businesses and start-ups.

2. New Product Development – The Stage Gate Process

New and existing product development is underpinned by the Stage Gate Process. Learn how to develop and implement your own stage gate to support effective development of products.

In this workshop we’ll look at each of the steps required for a successful product launch, from concept through to launch and beyond, including:

• What the Stage Gate process is and why it is used

• New product development versus existing product development

• What the steps within a Stage Gate process are and what you need to do

• How to build a bespoke Stage Gate process to suit your company, product and process

• A review of some product development success and failures

This workshop is ideal for companies who are looking to develop products and want to implement their own stage gate process or for those companies who already have one in place but want to improve on what they have or train other staff around the subject.

These fully funded, interactive workshops will be held at ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre in Cardiff.

Yn y gweithdy hwn byddwn yn edrych ar bob un o’r camau sydd eu hangen ar gyfer lansiad cynnyrch llwyddiannus, o’r cysyniad hyd at y lansiad a thu hwnt, gan gynnwys:

• Beth yw proses y Porth Llwyfan a pham y caiff ei defnyddio

• Datblygu cynnyrch newydd yn erbyn datblygu cynnyrch presennol

• Beth yw'r camau o fewn proses Porth Llwyfan a beth sydd angen i chi ei wneud

• Sut i adeiladu proses Porth Llwyfan bwrpasol i weddu i'ch cwmni, eich cynnyrch a'ch proses

• Adolygiad o rai llwyddiannau a methiannau o ran datblygu cynnyrch

Mae'r gweithdy hwn yn ddelfrydol ar gyfer cwmnïau sy'n edrych i ddatblygu cynhyrchion ac sydd am weithredu eu proses giât llwyfan eu hunain neu ar gyfer y cwmnïau hynny sydd eisoes ag un yn ei lle ond sydd am wella'r hyn sydd ganddynt neu hyfforddi staff eraill o amgylch y pwnc.
