About this Event

Ethical Goods are delighted to bring you the next instalment of our New Perspective Series which focuses on demystifying the topic of ‘Theory of Change’ & ‘Impact Measurement’ for purpose based organisations. This in-person workshop will provide individuals working in the not-for-profit sector with new approaches to achieving your organisations mission and solving challenges facing modern society, in the most efficient and effective ways possible.

Ever feel like “You don’t know what you’re doing?” We can all often feel like this.

This is why the Ethical Goods team are inviting you to join us at the iconic Royal Society of Arts, London, to discuss the importance of having a ‘Theory of Change’ model in place and how it can help to provide the guiding star for your work - it helps us know what we are doing. In addition we’ll discuss how to carry out effective ‘Impact Measurement’ and look at ways to help to mitigate against the risks charities are facing within the current economic climate.

No matter the size of your charity or social enterprise, we want to bring CEO’s, Strategy and Impact directors alike to join us to discuss key tools for measuring impact.

What to expect:

We will be joined by our long term partner Dr Colin Haberton of Relativ, who will be sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience in helping organisations with their strategy and impact measurement frameworks. Together we have supported organisations large and small with creating their ‘Theory of Change’ models, including Commonwealth Sports Foundation, Oxfam, Comic Relief, Family Holiday Charity, The Golf Trust, Lucy Rayner Foundation and many more.

If you are reviewing your current fundraising strategy, or income generation concerns, or if you need to formulate a ‘Theory of Change’ model or a ‘Case for Support’ for your organisation, this event will give you the opportunity to learn about where to start and an opportunity to explore the next steps. You will be provided with insights from the Ethical Goods team, Dr Colin Habberton, and also other charitable organisations in attendance to widen your breath of understanding.

We will be discussing how a ‘Theory of Change’ model can act as a guiding principle for transformation within your organisation. We will also outline why investing time into creating a Theory of Change is an essential part of directing your organisational activity toward your goals and how it can deliver the greatest impact toward your mission and for the communities that you serve.

A ‘Theory of Change’ model is an invaluable tool that helps bring together your organisational activities in line with the overall goals and desired outcomes of your organisation. By addressing the intended outcomes of your organisation in a clear way, you can ensure that there is a cohesive understanding of how each project will contribute to these goals, as well as giving the individuals within your team clarity on how their role fits into your strategic plan. In addition to these benefits, we’ll also cover off various pitfalls to be wary of as you organise your ideas internally.
