New Orleans Nights: Richard Rourke Live at the Piano

Rooted in the vibrant musical landscape of New Orleans, Richard Rourke is a soul and R&B based keyboardist, singer, and songwriter whose sound has been shaped by twelve years of studying, performing, and absorbing the music of the Crescent City. Alongside his deep dive into its traditions, he has developed an original voice, one that blends old-school soul with inventive, contemporary ideas.

As the longtime keyboard player for Hans Williams, Rourke is no stranger to the road, and now he’s bringing a slice of the New Orleans spirit to Los Angeles. His set will weave together original songs, described by Glide Magazine as “balancing the uplifting with the harsh realities in stunning fashion, all while a smooth concoction of twinkling keys and sleek melodies builds an irresistible arrangement,” with music from iconic New Orleans figures like Dr. John, James Booker, and Jon Cleary.
