About this Event
When the moon is dark and the sky is clear, the stars and planets shine! These events provide the opportunity for longer viewing times and more thorough explanations of what you are seeing, how the cosmos work, and telescope technology. We’ve teamed up with local astronomer and astrophotographer Bryan White of StarParty LLC. We’ll have multiple telescopes set-up for viewing, including Bryan’s giant 22″ Obsession, that will let you see not only the rings of Saturn but deep into the cosmos where nebulae, novae, and galaxies await! This is serious stargazing for experienced and beginner stargazers alike, so bring the whole family!
The further we get from city lights, the more we can see! So that’s why the ASC has scheduled both of their 2021 New Moon Stargazer events on the top of Independence Pass! Stargazing on the Continental Divide! You don’t want to miss this!
