Fundraiser to Benefit the Alana Arabella Foundation & Scholarship Fund
Alana was born January 1, 2006 to teenage parents in Macon, Georgia. Her mother, Amber, was an honors student in her senior year of high school when she found out that she was pregnant. She was determined to pursue a college education in finance despite what people told her would be her greatest obstacle. After a rigorous search during her pregnancy, Amber found little to no relevant assistance; such as :
* on-campus, teen parent support groups for college students
* study halls with daycare assistance
* financial, mental & emotional counseling tailored to teen parents
* & additional financial aid bolstered by educational accountability & requirements.
On February 11, 2006, after a tragic accident, Alana finished her assignment here on earth and returned to her Father in Heaven. Completely devastated by Alana's passing, her family relied on faith and each other to get through such a life changing event.
While still in the daze of Alana's loss and inspired by Alana's last loving glance, Amber conceived the idea and purpose for the Alana Arabella Foundation. Alana would not become just a statistic. Nor would the recipients of the scholarship in her name.
The Alana Arabella Foundation will begin by offering scholarship assistance to teen parents who have been accepted to accredited colleges & universities in Georgia. As it grows, the foundation will offer the type of assistance needed to bridge the gap between teen pregnancy and high school/college graduation.
The Alana Arabella Dedication Concert and Silent Auction will be held on November 21, 2021 to raise funds to uphold the purpose, mission and vision of the Alana Arabella Foundation as well as offer the first first scholarship(s) to teen parents in 2022 as well as begin the teen parent resource closet to provide diapers, clothing, milk and the like to teen parents pursuing their college education.
Please consider assisting with this goal and supporting the mission to bridge the gap between teen pregnancy and college graduation, thereby positively influencing the rate with which we produce equipped, highly contributing members of our community.
Thank you in advance for your generous contribution.
God Bless.

Amber M. Green
