You are cordially invited by the Enid Woodring Regional Airport and the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics (ODAA), in collaboration with the City of Enid, the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation, and the Oklahoma Finance Authorities, to a dedication ceremony on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 11:00 am with Senator John Haste, Senate Aeronautics and Transportation Chair, Mayor David Mason, and other state legislative officials and community leaders to mark this significant milestone in Oklahoma's aviation infrastructure development.
Enid Woodring Regional Airport will commemorate the completion of three new projects through a dedication ceremony for a new 120’ X 120’ Joint-Use Hangar; the reconstruction of its 70,000 sq. ft. South Ramp; and the construction of eight new 48’ X 40’ conjoined box hangars.
These projects were possible with the support of the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics through their Hangar Development grant program, the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation through a Defense Community Infrastructure Program grant, and the Oklahoma Finance Authorities through their Public/Private Partnership grant.
The new Joint-Use Hangar had a total project cost of $1.9M which was funded through the Defense Community Infrastructure Program with $1.23M while ODAA provided $391K, and the Oklahoma Military Planning Commission provided $80K.
The South Ramp reconstruction project which consisted of both the hangars and ramp had a total project cost of $3.4M. The Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation Funded $1.6M, the Oklahoma Finance Authorities funded $1.4M and the Oklahoma Military Planning Commission funded $80K.
