Come rock out with the Friends of Mineralogy NJ Chapter on July 23 at 7PM at the Woodbridge Main Library.
This presentation will be on the local geology of New Jersey and the various different environments and geologies, and how they all come together. We will examine a number of well known localities and rock collecting sites of the past and present; some of which the FM-NJ has participated and hunted in. We also will look at prime examples of the major geologic regions of New Jersey and their physical characteristics and properties.
At the end of the program, we'll even have hands-on time with mineral fossil specimens from New Jersey!
This program is geared for rockhounds and geology enthusiasts alike, from middle school age to adult.
Registration is Required!https://woodbridge-nj.libcal.com/event/16401202
