About this Event
It’s going to be an exciting and packed two-day event in Jersey City, known as the Gateway to America.
The New Jersey History and Historic Preservation Conference is the annual state-wide educational and networking opportunity for history and historic preservation professionals and volunteers in the fields of architecture, planning, heritage site and museum management, public history, archaeology, municipal preservation commissions, county heritage offices, developers, students, and more.
- Choose between a guided hard-hat tour of Ellis Island, a historic harbor tour, or workshop on placemaking and storytelling
- Welcoming Event featuring Darley Newman, TV Host, Writer, and Entrepreneur
- Choice of 14 educational sessions and
- An adaptive reuse tour of Jersey City and/or tour of the Loew's Jersey Theatre
- Lightning sessions during lunch

- Award presentation for poster exhibit competition by the NJ Council for the Humanities
