About New Invisible Joy:
New Invisible Joy is an atmospheric Alt-Rock band based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Formed in 1997, the band is known for their soaring, expansive sound, reminiscent of such Brit-rock outfits as The Verve, and Suede.
With their heady blend of reverbed guitars and ethereal vocals, “NIJ” performed throughout the Northeast, opening for numerous national artists like John Mayer, The Killers, Rufus Wainwright, The Strokes, Dave Navarro, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic
The band has released 4 albums to date: Pale Blue Day (2000), Trust (2004), Kontakt (2007), and New Invisible Joy (2002). New Invisible Joy’s second EP was recorded in New York city with major-label producer/engineer Ed Tuton (Lenny Kravitz).
In addition to radio and television performances, their 2007 single, Close Your Eyes, was featured on Monday Night Football from 2017-2019.
