New to Vancouver? Looking to meet other queer folks and make some new connections? Come hang out with us!
Moving to a new city can be exciting, but finding your people can sometimes take a little longer. New in Town, Queer at Heart is a casual and welcoming space for queer folks who are new (or still feel new!) to Vancouver to meet, chat, laugh, and start building community.
Each session is a little different. We'll get the conversation going with fun activities and topics that are relevant to queer life in Vancouver, from making friends and dating to finding community, navigating the city, queer spaces, culture, and everything in between.
No networking. No pressure. No need to already know someone. Just come as you are.
What to expect
- Meet other LGBTQIA2S+ folks who are also looking for connection
- Easygoing conversations and activities to help break the ice
- Chat about topics and experiences relevant to queer life
- Discover more about Vancouver's queer community
- Make connections that can hopefully continue beyond the event
Coming alone? Please do! That's kind of the point. Most people are coming because they want to meet someone new too, and we'll help get the conversations started so you don't have to figure it out on your own.
English doesn't need to be your first language, and you don't need to have everything figured out before joining us.
