New Haven Open House 2025

The Metro-North Open House for 2025 will take place at our New Haven Yard facility. The Yard is only accessible via a free shuttle service departing from the Metro-North New Haven Union Station.

The Open House is a special event that offers an inside look at our railroad operations and rich history. This family-friendly event will feature displays of our train fleets as well as exhibits from various departments showcasing the important work they do behind the scenes.

Guests will enjoy interactive exhibits, demonstrations, and a railroad history museum filled with fascinating artifacts. The Open House is a great opportunity for employees, their families, and the community to connect with our team, learn more about our mission, and celebrate the proud legacy of MNR.

Date of Event: Saturday, October 4, 2025

• Each order is limited to a maximum of five (5) tickets. Full names and contact information must be provided for each attendee at the time of registration. Duplicate names are not permitted and will result in cancellation of the affected tickets. Incomplete or inaccurate submissions will lead to automatic cancellation of the reservation.
• Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Each ticket grants entry for you and your guests during your designated 80-minute time slot.
• Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time for security check-in, located at the Metro-North New Haven Union Station.
• All adult attendees must present a valid federal or state-issued ID upon entry.
• Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times. IDs are not required for minors.
• We strongly encourage wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes, as the experience involves walking.
• A variety of food and refreshments will be available for purchase from local food trucks.

Prohibited items for this event include, but are not limited to:

• Large bags, Purses, Backpacks, or Luggage exceeding 16" x 16" x 8"
• Tripods, Monopods, Selfie Sticks, Professional Filming Equipment is prohibited
• Laser Pointers, Flares, or Fireworks
• Coolers, Ice Chests, or Folding Chairs
• Glass containers
• Umbrellas
• Drones or UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)
• Animals or Pets (except service animals as defined by the ADA)
• Weapons, Firearms, Pepper Spray, or Mace
• Alcoholic beverages, Marijuana, Illegal Drugs or Substances
• Any items determined by Authorized Persons to pose a risk to safety or to potentially disrupt facility operations
• Flammable Liquids, Aerosol Cans

All allowed bags or backpacks may be subject to search.
