STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, integrating creativity with technical and analytical skills. Students must be able to read and write in full sentences. As well as add, subtract, multiply, and divide. They should possess at least a 1st grade knowledge and have good classroom behavior. Welcoming 2nd through 7th grade students.
These students possess above average intellectual development and are capable of demonstrating high performance in the areas of leadership, creativity, motivation and academic learning. We will encourage students to use and expand these skills in math using logic, puzzles, and patterns solving skills. In science we will work with plants and animal passion projects, covering life cycles and microscope labs. At times we will get a little crafty, building and decorating our projects.
In our student science fair, students will follow the scientific method to attempt to answer a question and design an experiment. Then they will report their findings in a foldable board. Last we will present these projects to family and friends at a weekend science fair. Venue to be decided and free entry. (In the event space is limited, tickets will be issued to enter in an equitable way.)
