About this Event
what: an open-access event to learn about the European Commission’s New European Bauhaus initiative through locally created projects and prototypes.
where: Materially opens the doors of its new home at Designtech’s CoFactory in Milan’s Certosa District.
why: Materially is part of the UP2NEB consortium that supports young people across Europe to build together places, practices, and experiences that are enriching - inspired by art and culture, responding to needs beyond functionality - sustainable - in harmony with nature, the environment, and our planet - inclusive - encouraging a dialogue across cultures, disciplines, genders and ages. The event showcases the results of a 5-day co-creation workshop with young design amateurs exploring how waste flows and locally sourced resources can be transformed into new design opportunities.
