This event is about how schools in ENGLAND can comply with the DfE's latest guidance (updated 15/12/2022) on the content of their websites.
About this Event

On 15th December 2022 the Department for Education (DfE) updated its guidance on what schools and academies should put on their school website again. There have been five signigficant changes to this guidance since August 2020.

Does your website comply with the latest DfE requirements? Could you be in line for an unannounced Ofsted inspection because your website has the wrong information? And, even IF it is legally compliant, could the design of your website be improved?

If you want your school website to comply with the latest DfE guidelines and be more effective at engaging with pupils and prspective parents, this 3 hour Zoom training event is for you.

You'll learn at least 10 things on this course...

1. How your school website can set you up for an “Outstanding” Ofsted inspection;

2. A background to the new DfE guidelines on school website content (published on 15th December 2022);

3. Other content you should publish on your school website;

4. School website compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR);

5. Protection from cyber attacks - SSL Certificates, 2-factor authentication and computer-generated passwords;

6. How simple website analytics can save time and improve parental engagement;

7. Latest school website design trends, the rise of WordPress and mobile compatability;

8. Lessons that can be learned from other websites visited by parents;

9. Ten techniques to improve your school website;

10. Examples of what excellent school website design looks like;

You will be sent a 61 page course booklet to print off beforehand. This will include hand-outs and a list of tips and suggestions to get you started on improving your school website.
