Forensic Dentistry: Real Cases and Practical Applications
Dentistry can play a critical role far beyond the dental office. In this engaging introduction to forensic odontology, Dr. Jeremy Thompson will explore how dental knowledge and records can be applied to forensic investigations and human identification.
Through real-world applications and case-based discussion, attendees will gain insight into the role dentists can play in forensic work and see how the information collected in everyday dental practice may take on unexpected importance in an investigative setting.
About Jeremy M. Thompson, DDS, MS
Dr. Jeremy M. Thompson is a board-certified endodontist and forensic odontologist practicing in San Antonio. He earned his DDS from The Ohio State University and his MS in Oral Biology from the Medical College of Georgia. He served eight years as an Army dentist, completing his specialty training in endodontics at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Thompson completed a Fellowship in Forensic Dentistry at Lincoln Memorial University College of Dental Medicine in 2024 and is board certified in forensic odontology.
