New Date to avoid heat, 7/13/2024. Join us in our quest to clean Elk Grove as we return to Promenade Parkway to tackle this roadway and areas nearby. When we keep trash and debris from entering our storm drain system, we also prevent trash from getting to our precious waterways.
This is a unique cleanup that will require comfortable walking shoes and an appetite to get into landscaping up and down the parkway. We may find quite a bit to clean up since the event follows the 4th of July.
New to cleanups? Please arrive early to get signed in and get gear. If you have supplies, please bring your own gloves, buckets, bags, but we have items for you. Buckets, gloves, grabbers, vests, bags.
Please wear appropriate clothing, boots ? or closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, hats, and bring your own water. It’s critical that you remain hydrated for this event given the warm morning predicted.
All cleanups are done at your own risk, but safety first! Our trash safety talk starts promptly at 8:30 am.
