Mark your calendars — this is going to be a night to remember! We’re gathering poets and community together for an unforgettable evening where voices rise, truth is spoken, and poetry becomes resistance. The focus of the night is “Is This the American Dream?” — an invitation for poets to speak truth to power and shine a light on the real stories behind the dream.
We’re thrilled to feature Caleb “The Negro Poet” Rainey, a nationally recognized talent, alongside Antwonette Shade, one of the boldest new poetic voices in the state. Plus, the mic will be open for others to step up and share — but sign up early, as spots are limited!
This event is free and open to all. Donations are encouraged to help us keep building spaces where art and resistance meet.
Come ready to eat, connect, and be moved — this is not just an open mic, it’s a movement.
