New Boaters & Driver Training Day
Schedule
Sun Jun 30 2024 at 10:00 am
UTC+12:00Location
Rangitikei River | Palmerston North, MW
Driver Down: If something happens to you, your crew may need to take control of the boat and get you to safety. This is a great opportunity for partners, family members and regular crew to learn how to safely operate your boat.
We will spend time covering the basics of Jet Boating. Including boat preparation, safety, launching, hazards, boat handling & how to read rivers.
We will practice boat handling skills, then go on a short easy run up to Kakariki for lunch.
If you wish to attend, or perhaps know someone who would like to attend, please reply to this invitation. Depending on numbers, we may be able to arrange for an experienced person to go with you in your boat. However we will need to know this before the day so we can arrange helpers. If you don't currently have a boat we are happy to find a seat for you. However we will also need to know this before hand.
Non members are welcome
We want all Jet Boaters to safely enjoy their day when boating on the river. So we are very happy to offer this day to boaters who are not currently members of JBNZ. If you know someone who might be keen, please forward this email and ask them to contact us.
This event was to be held on the Manawatu River, but has been relocated to the Rangitikei River at Bulls. Follow the signs on the Ohakea side of the river. Please arrive at 10.30am.
If you have any question please contact Tony Hardie, 021 274 4275 or Dave Hughes, 027 546 9600
End of day debrief at the Rat Hole, Bulls.
