A new year always brings with it fresh beginnings . I wanted our first workshop of the year to symbolise this.
I have a large box of vintage porcelain pieces, in all different colours and from all periods of time. much of it was broken.
For many people, a China plate, cup, saucer or vase that is chipped, cracked or broken would only be fit for the bin, but to me it is treasure.
In this workshop we will take those fractured unfortunates and turn them into unique, stunning jewellery.
Taking a piece of broken porcelain smoothing out the edges and then carefully creating a copper encasement for our pendant is incredibly therapeutic.
Copper is associated with protection from Negativity and is also known to create a feeling of balance as it amplifies feelings of positivity and optimism.
I adore this relaxing creative process and the concept of enjoying something old in a new way.
I love that in just a couple of hours we can bring beauty back to something that was once broken, giving it a new beginning.
This workshop is just £10 per person and you will leave with a beautiful unique jewellery pendant on a black cord necklace.
