New and New-to-San Mateo County Student Services Administrator Overview
About this Event
This two-hour overview serves as an introduction San Mateo County safety and student services practice. The training supports new and new-ish administrators (including veteran administrators who are new-to-San Mateo County) with enough information to start the year thoughtfully, allowing them to determine which full trainings to attend over the course of the year.

- Meet the Safe & Supportive Schools team at the San Mateo County Office of Education - and new/new-to-SMC administrators like yourself!
- The Big Five Overview
- Behavioral Threat Assessment Management Overview
- Comprehensive School Safety Planning
- Attendance / SART / SARB services
- School Climate Supports (i.e. STOPit!, PBIS, TPYE, Squad, Restorative Practice)
- Supportive Student Programs (Foster Youth, McKinney Vento, YAASS)
- Overview of Additional Services/Training Options, like Safe Routes to School, Section 504, Site-Based Investigations, and CSEC / Human Trafficking.
