(After a bit of back-and-forth on dates...)
Join us the weekend of June 26 & 27 for an informal training and/or trail maintenance weekend on the Never Summer 100km course.
While our fingers are crossed for something close to normality, we'll keep you posted if any COVID-related precautions come in to play.
Friday, TBD & TBC: Mount Richthofen Vertical Kilometer. Meet will be at the Diamond aid location and full details are to come (pending enough interest).
Saturday, 8:00am: meet at Ranger Lakes Campground to run the southern section of the course.
- 19 miles/4,500' (https://www.strava.com/routes/23986403). From Ranger Lakes to the Diamond aid station it is roughly 16 miles/4,500' (with 3 mile jog on hard shoulder back to Ranger Lakes. Or car drops/shuttle can be arranged if you want to keep it at 16 miles).
- 32 miles/8,000' (https://www.strava.com/routes/23986553).
The full loop from Ranger Lakes to North Diamond Peak, across to Montgomery and down to Bockman and back to Ranger Lakes via the final Grass Creek/Gould Mtn section of the course.
Sunday, 8:00am: meet at Ruby Jewel TH.
- 16 miles/3,000' (https://www.strava.com/routes/23986994). From the Ruby Jewel TH, run through Hidden Valley to Kelly Lake, down to Clear Lake Rd. Take a left at intersection back to Canadian aid location to pick up course back to Ruby Jewel on North Yurt & Canadian Trails.
- 20 miles/4,000'- 24 miles/5,300' (with - without Clear Lake spur, https://www.strava.com/routes/23987150). As above to Clear Lake Road, then right following course on Northern Loop around to Canadian Aid location, then back to Ruby Jewel on North Yurt & Canadian Trails.
Trail work volunteers can meet up with us either day at the morning meet locations. Please RSVP to [email protected]
Most folks will be camping at the Crags Campground, on the southern side of the park. If you want to camp nearby to hang out with local runners with experience on the course on Friday and/or Saturday evenings that's where we'll be - always a fun time! Reservations for the Crags campground and other park campgrounds can be made here:
