About this Event
The Nevada Republican Club is proud to bring you two of the three Congressional District 3 Republican Candidates. Unfortunately, Republican Candidate Elizabeth Helgelian is unable to attend so Drew Johnson and Dan Schwartz will be in attendance.
Flemming Larsen embarked on his journey in the workforce as a grocery store butcher at just fifteen years old. Following in his father’s footsteps. However, recognizing that this path did not align with his American dream, he took a bold leap and opened his first restaurant in his early 20’s a humble 50’s diner (where he became an expert at the hand jive). With minimal resources, Flemming poured his heart and soul into making his venture a success, emptying his bank account and maxing out his credit cards to finance it.
Through sheer determination and hard work, Flemming transformed his restaurant into a thriving chain of steakhouses over the course of three decades. Flemming has employed well over 10,000 individuals and fostered countless opportunities for advancement within his company. His commitment to his employee’s is exemplified by the story of a former busboy who rose through the ranks to become the companies vice president, currently overseeing day-to-day operations.
Residing in Henderson for the past 11 years with his wife April and their three sons 31,29 & 23, Flemming and his wife are active members of their community supporting many charities and April’s leadership role in their church.
In 2022, Flemming answered the call from local republicans to run for a heavily democratic assembly district seat, facing significant odds with 22% voter registration disadvantage republicans vs. democrats. Despite this, he came within 1.8% margin of victory, demonstrating his ability to connect with voters from all walks of life. Drawing from his experiences in the political arena, Fleming pioneered innovative strategies now employed in his congressional campaign, emphasizing grassroots efforts such as door-knocking in democrat-heay neighborhoods and engraving with diverse cultural communities. His message of empathy and commitment to helping working families achieve the American dream resonates across party lines.
With a blue-collar background in the trades, Flemming is uniquely positioned to connect with voters whom republicans traditionally struggle to reach, including Hispanics, independents, and workers in the culinary and hospitality industries.

Boris's vision for Congress includes robust economic policies, healthcare reform, and dedicated support for veterans, ensuring they receive the respect, care, and opportunities they deserve. With a passion for public service and a track record of successful leadership, Michael Boris aims to bring a fresh, dynamic approach to representing the people of District One. His candidacy is not just a political pursuit, but a mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of his constituents. on to make a meaningful difference in the lives of his constituents.
Colonel Mark Robertson owned a business and has strong ties to our community, freely giving his time to organizations such as Opportunity Village, Boy Scouts, Little League, The Salvation Army, and local Veteran groups. Mark served in the Army for 30 years, enlisting as a Private and retiring as a Colonel. He deployed to ten foreign countries, including combat tours in Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Iraq, and served in the Pentagon during the Trump administration. Mark has a degree in finance from BYU and an MBA and taught finance at UNLV. Mark was the 2022 Republican nominee for Congress, beating Dina Titus in Henderson and Boulder City and by 20 points with in-person voters. Mark is the Republican best prepared to defeat Dina Titus because like Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln, who also lost their first election, Mark will use the lessons learned in 2022 to win in 2024.
