About this Event
Sponsored by the University of Nevada Extension College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources, NV Naturalist Program, is an adult environmental education and volunteer training program geared toward conservation in southern Nevada.
Utilizing a two prong approach, NV Naturalist Program:
- Enhances education about the natural resources found in southern Nevada.
- Trains volunteers dedicated to conserving those resources.
Classes meet both in-person and online via Zoom twice a week from 6pm - 9pm to discuss a variety of topics including: ecology, native flora & fauna, geology, cultural and natural history of southern Nevada and more. Field trips follow on Saturdays to a variety of distinations in the area. Locations and times vary.
The session begins on September 15, and continues through November 3, 2025.
Registration is $195 per person or two people registering together for $300.
The registration fee includes textbooks, program materials, transportation to and from field trip locations, and refreshments.
No refunds after the start of the first class.
Class size is limited.
